I was very excited to join an amazing team as a Director of KenMont and KenWood Camp in November 2019. It has been fantastic to join a camp with such a rich tradition of providing an exceptional camp experience to generations of campers and I’m excited to continue the amazing work with our team.

I have been in the camping world for over 20 years. After becoming a Camp Director at a residential camp in South Africa, I moved to New Jersey to explore a whole other world of camping in the USA. I went on to become the Director of an overnight summer camp in the Poconos for ten years. Today, I’m always excited to share my love of camp with the KenMont and KenWood family!

My passion for camping ensures that every camper leaves camp feeling enriched and filled with memories from the best summer of their lives, counting down the days until they can return to their home away from home.

In the off-season, I live in New Jersey with my wife Amanda, our two boys, Dylan and James and our Boston Terrier, Gillie. We are a true camp family and we are looking forward to becoming a part of yours.

It is wonderful for our family to see the legacy continue and to see that the camp director, continue to make KenMont a first class camp that makes the children happy and the parents confident that they have chosen the right camp.

I couldn’t be more excited to join the KenMont and KenWood family! It has always been a dream of mine to return to camping and be a director at a camp with such strong traditions and a deep history of making a positive impact on the lives of children and staff alike.

I grew up at Camp Laurel in Maine as a camper, made possible by a generous family’s scholarship, and continued to come back year after year as a counselor and then the camp’s Operations Manager. I would go on to graduate from University of Florida and Duke Law School, while still coming back each summer to camp. After ten years as a corporate attorney in New York City, staying on the periphery of camping by assisting camps and camp adjacent businesses, as well as volunteering as a youth mentor with the Jewish Board’s Big Brother/Little Brother program, its a thrill to finally return home to camping. Camp has always been my happy place. The community, positivity, creativity and, most importantly, focus on childhood developement, has made camp such an important part of mine and my family’s life.

In the off-season, I live in Armonk, New York with my wife Dani, baby girl Ava and our loveable dog, Dudley.

FUN FACT: Dani’s mother and aunt are both long-time alumni of KenWood and have been teaching us all of the wonderful camp history and songs!

Thank you for welcoming us into your families, as we could not be more excited.

We understand how important it is to choose the right camp for your child. At KenMont and KenWood we offer an environment that nurtures development of individual character, self confidence and the learning of new skills.

As a camp family, we join hands not only with our campers and staff, but with the families of our campers as well. There is a very special feeling of warmth and caring at KenMont and KenWood that permeates throughout our camps and creates an environment that becomes a true home away from home for all our campers.

Our exceptional attention to detail allows us to focus on the individual needs of each of our campers, allowing them to achieve social success and make wonderful new friendships that last a lifetime. The enthusiasm, spirit and magic that makes camp so special is something that evolves by having a dedicated and talented leadership team working with us year round with a commitment to make each summer better than the last.

Our camps are a place where children can experience the best summers of their lives. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to discuss with you and your family what makes KenMont and KenWood Camps so special.
