It is wonderful for our family to see the legacy continue and to see that the camp director, continue to make KenMont a first class camp that makes the children happy and the parents confident that they have chosen the right camp.
I couldn’t be more excited to join the KenMont and KenWood family! It has always been a dream of mine to return to camping and be a director at a camp with such strong traditions and a deep history of making a positive impact on the lives of children and staff alike.
I grew up at Camp Laurel in Maine as a camper, made possible by a generous family’s scholarship, and continued to come back year after year as a counselor and then the camp’s Operations Manager. I would go on to graduate from University of Florida and Duke Law School, while still coming back each summer to camp. After ten years as a corporate attorney in New York City, staying on the periphery of camping by assisting camps and camp adjacent businesses, as well as volunteering as a youth mentor with the Jewish Board’s Big Brother/Little Brother program, its a thrill to finally return home to camping. Camp has always been my happy place. The community, positivity, creativity and, most importantly, focus on childhood developement, has made camp such an important part of mine and my family’s life.
In the off-season, I live in Armonk, New York with my wife Dani, baby girl Ava and our loveable dog, Dudley.
FUN FACT: Dani’s mother and aunt are both long-time alumni of KenWood and have been teaching us all of the wonderful camp history and songs!
Thank you for welcoming us into your families, as we could not be more excited.
As a nervous mother, I was put at ease from the first moment with the contact between the directors of the camp. I always felt that they were available to answer my questions and keep me informed.
