Which session should I choose?

There are various factors that could affect which session you choose for your child’s enrollment. In addition to considering family schedules and other commitments, would your child like a program that has more pre-assigned activities or would he/she prefer to have more of an elective schedule?

Both of our sessions offer 50 activities stemming from our four focus areas of waterfront, sports (team and individual), arts and adventure. Our schedule consists of 6 activity periods daily, most led by experienced professionals providing expertise, encouragement and fun. Our program is strategically designed to ensure each camper feels supported in their skill development and personal needs throughout the session. For our older campers, the program is fairly similar in both sessions; for our younger campers, the differences are highlighted below.

1st Session: Well-Rounded Progressive Program

While our youngest campers have most of their day scheduled, as they progress each year, campers gain the opportunity for more individual choice and daily options. This empowers our campers to curate their day to their desire, leading them to a fully choice based schedule.

2nd Session: Choice Program

Our youngest campers have three periods per day scheduled for them, including boating/waterfront. The remaining three periods are all choice allowing campers to pick one art, one sport and one adventure activity daily. As the campers get older, a daily option is introduced to allow campers to add additional focus to a favorite activity or to try a new activity for just one day!

Ask Tom & Hylton

When I tell you that she has been counting down the days since she left last summer, it is no exaggeration! She simply LOVED it! She talks about how much she loved her counselors, the great activities, tasty food and all the wonderful friendships she made that will last a lifetime!

Summer at KenMont was such a wonderful opportunity for my son for so many reasons – I cannot even start to list them all. He learned so many new skills and learned so much about camaraderie, teamwork and independence. Highly recommend.
